Kendrick Lamar: The hottest rapper out
Kendrick Lamar’s most recent album titled “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City” dropped on October 22nd, 2012. Ever since then, Kendrick has taken the rap game under his wing. “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City” has reached universal acclaim all over the world. The album debuted at #2 on Billboard’s chart, selling over 242,000 copies in its first week. Since then, the record has generated a Gold Album certification moving its total to over 657,000 units sold.
Kendrick quickly gained the respect of all his peers and fans. The latest peer to acknowledge Kendrick was the great Jay-Z. Recently, Kendrick released a remix to one of his latest singles, “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” featuring the infamous Jay-Z himself. Kendrick even wrote new verses for the remix, which I’m sure all of the fans appreciated since he ended up killing the track, again!
I get chills every time I listen to this record. My favorite tracks are The Art of Peer Pressure, Money Trees, and Real. But my absolute favorite track on the album, which I think everyone can agree, has to be Backseat Freestyle. The production on this track is simply amazing and the energy that Kendrick brings is unreal. Shout out to Hit-Boy for lacing another crazy beat. I came away very impressed after listening to the album. Kendrick Lamar is the hottest rapper in the game right now and I cannot wait for his next project.
